ERIKO WATANABE

Eriko began studying Ashataga yoga in 2003 and after while she also
started teaching.
She has been studying with Barry Silver at Ashtanga Yoyogi since 2007.
She also assisted his morning mysore class from 2007 – Oct. 2013.
Eriko now took over AYO and is teaching her morning mysore class.

YO MIYAMURA

Yo began studying Ashtanga yoga in 2006. She has been studying with
Barry at AYO since 2009 and assisted him from 2010-Oct. 2013. She also
learned vinyasa style yoga from Cyndi Lee, the director of OM Yoga Center. Yo is teaching ashtanga yoga, vinyasa yoga and meditation in Tokyo and Yokohama area. She is also working as a translator for yoga teacher trainings, workshops.

KEIKO KONOSHITA

Keiko began studying Ashtanga yoga with Ken Harakuma at IYC in 2002.
She has been teaching since 2004, mainly mysore classes of IYC
Ogikubo. Keiko first met Barry, when she helped him  with his first
mysore class in Japan.

Founder

Barry Silver, born and raised in New York City, has been studying and practicing yoga since 1996 and teaching since 1999. From 2000-2006 he studied under the guidance of Eddie Stern at Ashtanga Yoga New York and Sri Ganesha Temple. He assisted Eddie in the morning mysore class from 2003-2006. In 2003 he received authorization to teach from Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R.Sharath of the Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute of Mysore, South India. Since February of 2007 he has been living and teaching in Tokyo, Japan.

Barry is also a visual artist working mainly in the medium of collage. In addition, he has constructed Hindu temples and altars, designed and produced T-shirts, posters, websites, furniture, videos and films. In July of 2008 he had his first solo exhibition in Tokyo at the “B Gallery” in Beams Shinjuku. You can see his artwork at barrysilver.net

Since November of 2013 Barry has been traveling and Eriko Watanabe has been teaching daily morning mysore classes.
